Ivan Johnson inks with Petrochimi

Ivan Johnson (203 cm, CS San Bernandino’07) has agreed to terms with Iranian club Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbor (Iran-Superleague) this 2016. Johnson is coming off a brief and tumultuous stint as an import in the Philippine PBA. He played a lone game for the Talk N Text Tropang Texters where he scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds.  He was suspended and ejected from a game and then promptly replaced by the team. He hopes for a fresh start with his new team. The veteran was originally supposed to play for Gipuzkoa San Sebastian (Spain-Liga Endesa) this 2015-16 season, but things did not work out.

After his release from the Dallas Mavericks in 2014/5, Johnson signed with the Frisco Texas Legends of the NBA D-League. He played seven games for them and averaged 9.4 ppg and 4.6 rpg. He was released in February 2015.
