Ioannis Athineou joins Olin Edirne

Turkish TBL club Olin Edirne Basketball has landed the services of Greek player Ioannis Athineou (194 cm) for the 2014-15 season. The 26-year-old Ioannis is a recent addition to the Greek National Team this 2014. He has spent majority of his professional career playing for Greek teams and only stepped out of his home nation late in 2013-14 to sign with EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (Italy-SerieA). The talented shooter will get a chance to showcase his skills with his new team.

He began the season on the roster of Aris Thessaloniki (Greek-A1) and there he posted averages of 13.4 ppg and 2.3 rpg. Athineou then moved to the Milanese club in March 2014. In just two games he managed to average 1.0 ppg and 15 apg.
