Ioannis Athineou to EA7 Armani

Italian Serie A team EA7 Emporio Armani Milano has added Greek guard Ioannis Athineou (194 cm) to strengthen their backcourt for the remainder of the season. This signing will be Athineou’s first foray outside of Greece in his professional career. Ioannis began the 2013-14 season playing for Aris Thessaloniki (Greece-A1). He appeared in 22 games for his former Greek club and produced averages of 13.4 ppg and 3.3 apg. Athineou also help his club reach the finals of the Greek Cup this 2014.

In 2012-13 he played for Panionios ON Telecoms Athens (Greek-A1). In 35 games Ioannis delivered averages of 4.3 ppg and 1.8 apg. He also played six games for them in the Eurocup and there he averaged 2.0 ppg and 3.0 apg.
