Halifax Rainmen make multiple moves
The Halifax Rainmen (Canada-NBL) have announced that they have make multiple moves to strengthen their roster.
In a press release sent out Monday, Dec. 10, they announced that they had signed Eric Frederick (203 cm, Texas Wysleyan’12), pending FIBA clearance. Frederick was most recently with the Iowa Energy of the NBA D-League, but was released on Dec. 3, 2012. He was on the roster at Texas Wesleyan University in 2011-12 and averaged 25.4ppg and 10.2rpg over 32 games.
“We like his up tempo style of play,” said Rainmen head coach Rob Spon. “He is an explosive shot blocker and finisher, who can also face up to the basket and score. For a player his size he shoots the ball very very well, something we have been lacking.”
Halifax Coach Rob Spon has also announced that they have released Center Paul Nelson, and shooting guards Reed Baker and Brandon Robinson.
