Gregor Beugnot parts ways with Chalon

It is an end of an era in French ProA basketball. Gregor Beugnot is leaving ES Chalon-Sur-Saone with one more year remaining in his contract. Beugnot has been Chalon’s head coach for a decade this 2013. The-55-year-old was able to guide the team to this season’s Semifinals where they were defeated by JSF Nanterre, a disappointing finish for the defending ProA Champions. Chalon was a finalist in the French SuperCup this 2013.

He led them to an impressive run in 2011-12. He steered them to win the French Cup and to be a EuroChallenge Finalist in 2012. He also led them to win the French La Sermaine des AS Cup that same year.
