Veteran NBA journeyman Greg Monroe (211 cm, Georgetown’10) has opted to take his game to Europe for the 2019-20 season. The big man has agreed to terms on a deal with German powerhouse, FC Bayern Muenchen (Germany-BBL). The 29-year-old still has a lot left in the tank but the changing style of play in the league has left him with little to no suitors in free agency.
Monroe saw action for three different NBA teams in 2018-19. He played two games for the Celtics and averaged 3.0 ppg and 1.5 rpg. He also played 13 games for the Philadelphia 76ers and there he produced averages of 6.2 ppg and 3.4 rpg. Finally, Monroe suited for 38 games for the Toronto Raptors, posting averages of 4.8 ppg and 4.1 rpg.
