GM Lance Blanks fired by Phoenix Suns

After finishing dead last in the Western Conference this season with a record of 25-57, the NBA’s Phoenix Suns are shaking things up. First on the chopping block is General Manager Lance Blanks.

“Lance has been a trusted friend and colleague,” said Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby. “I thank him personally and professionally for his hard work on behalf of the Suns. We will continue to prepare for the offseason even as we look for his replacement.”

The Suns have struggled to find wins after the departure of their star point guard, Steve Nash. He was hired by Phoenix in 2010.
