German BBLThe German BBL is nearing the end of the Regular Season with just six more weeks of action available. Round wrapped on Thursday as Bremerhaven overcame Bayreuth in a comfortable home exercise, the final score reading 91-66.

It continues to be interesting at the top of the table, with familiar clubs chasing the number one berth through the Regular Season. German BBL leaders Brose Baskets Bamberg slipped on the road to Ludwigsburg 83-73, but the club still holds top spot with a 23-4 record. That’s now shared with ALBA Berlin though, the club from the German capital is managing to juggle solid Euroleague form with a domestic charge, and ALBA defeated Telekom Baskets Bonn 90-78 on Sunday.

Also pushing for first place is Bayern Munich, the season’s early pace setters are recovering from a mid-campaign push and went big to destroy Crailsheim 110-76 at home on Saturday to move to a 22-6 record. Ratiopharm Ulm is a little out of the title pushing picture, but the club kept momentum with 78-86 away win over Braunschweig to improve to 19-9 in fourth place.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg overcame Artland Dragons Quackenbrueck at home in a testing 77-74 victory, while Goettingen impressed on the road with a cruising 68-94 win over struggling BBC Trier. Phoenix Hagen also looked comfortable on unfamiliar hardwood as they downed Walter Tigers 69-92 away from home.
