Gerel Simmons heads to Juninense

Gerel Simmons (188 cm, Lincoln Memorial’16) has signed to play for Ciclista Juninense in the Argentina Liga A division. The American has been playing for Rilski Sportiv Samokov in the Bulgarian NBL this season. In domestic competition, Gerel Simmons played eight games and grabbed averages of 6.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. He was also in FIBA Europe Cup action, featuring in six games and logging 6.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

The guard is in his rookie season after departing Lincoln Memorial last year. In his senior campaign with the school, Simmons played 37 times and averaged well with 20.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.
