Gerald Lee signs with Ploiesti

Gerald Lee (208 cm, ODU’10) will be joining the ranks of CSU Asesoft Ploiesti from Romania’s Liga Nationala for the upcoming 2013-14 season. Lee is an American player who later received Finnish citizenship. This allowed him to be a member of the Finnish National Team in 2006, 2010-2011 and 2013. He is currently representing Finland in Eurobasket 2013.

The former player for the Old Dominion Monarchs played the 2012-13 season in Montenegro’s 1A league for KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica. He played 15 games in the Montenegrin league and averaged 11.1 ppg and 4.0 rpg, helping his team win the Montenegrin League Championship in 2013. He logged 26 games for Buducnost in the Adriatic League and there he averaged 10.2 ppg and 4.3 rpg. Gerald played 14 games in the Eurocup and hit averages of 8.8 ppg and 3.4 rpg, doing his part in getting his team to the Eurocup quarterfinals.
