Gareth Murray pens with Challans

Gareth Murray (201 cm, Kalamazoo Valley CC’05) will play in French Basketball this season after inking with Vendee Challans Basket (NM1). The Scottish player has spent much of his career in the United Kingdom BBL, although he did have a brief stint Malaysia on the roster of Perak Farmcochem (NBL). The forward started this season wearing the jersey of the Cheshire Phoenix (UK, BBL) where he played five games and averaged 11.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

Through his career Gareth Murray has spent seven seasons with the Glasgow/Scottish Rocks, while he has also represented the Cheshire Jets in the BBL. Last season with Glasgow he played 33 games and averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per appearance.
