Gani Lawal picked up by EA7 Armani

Italian SerieA team EA7 Emporio Armani Milano have picked up Gani Lawal (2o5 cm, Georgia Tech’10). Lawal is a Nigerian-American player who recently joined the Nigerian National Team. The 24-year-old represented them in Afrobasket 2013, which was held in the Ivory Coast. He’s already had a busy 2013-14, starting it off with VEF Riga from Latvia. He was released in October for him to participate in the Philadelphia 76ers’ camp. Gani didn’t make the cut and will now continue his career in Italy.

He is coming off a two-game stint in China’s NBL for Guangzhou Liu Sui where he averaged 20.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg. His 2012-13 season was spent playing for Virtus Roma from Italy’s SerieA. He logged 47 games for them and averaged 13.7 ppg and 8.4 rpg.
