There has been a lot of movement at the Fraport Skyliners (Germany, BBL) today with the team announcing two new American players, both signed from BBL rival LTI Giessen 46ers. Guard Ryan Brooks (193 cm, Temple’10) and small forward LaQuan Prowell (203 cm, Auburn’08) have been acquired, while the Fraport Skyliners also revealed that the team had released American guard Ted Scott (188 cm, West Virginia State’09).

The Fraport Skyliners swooped for Brooks to replace the outgoing Scott. Brooks joins from the Giessen 46ers, for whom he has played during the 2010-2011 season and the first half of this campaign. During his first spell at Giessen, Brooks averaged 9.1ppg, 2.9rpg, and 1.4apg over 34 games. The 24-year old split his time in Germany by playing for Namika Lahti (Finland, Korisliga) during 2011-2012 where he played 40 games and averaged 18.6ppg, 5.5rpg, and 1.6apg.

Prowell is also joining the Fraport Skyliners from the Giessen 46ers, after the small forward joined the BBL team at the beginning of the 2012-2013 season. Prowell brings with him good experience of the European game, having played for Kolejiler Ankara (Turkey, TBL) Paris-Levallois and Strasbourg (France, Pro A), Athens (Greece, A1) and Saint Vallier (France, Pro B). The Giessen 46ers have filed for bankrupcy.
