Frank Gaines moves to Italy, Cantu

Frank Gaines (192 cm, G) is leaving Bnei Hertzeliya, the Winner League, and Israel. Gaines will trade up to play for coach Cesare Pancotto and his Acqua S.Bernardo Cantu. Cantu is currently a disappointing 4-9 in the Italian SerieA and is second to last in 14th position in the standings.

Frank Gaines is an experienced guard and is expected to help out immediately. Gaines has played previously in Germany, Venezuela, and in various middle American countries. He also knows what it is to play for Italian fans. He has played for three separate Italian teams, most recently last season when he averaged 11.3 ppg in 14 EuroCup games for Virtus Bologna.

Frank Gaines played college basketball at IPFW, where he collected 19.8 ppg his senior year.
