Emanuel Terry signs with Hapoel Jerusalem
Emanuel Terry, who has already suited up for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat in his still-young pro career, will make his debut with Hapoel Jerusalem in the coming days.
The 23-year-old Lincoln Memorial (Tennessee) University product switches uniforms from Teksut Bandirma of the Turkish League to Hapoel Jerusalem.
In Turkish League competition, the 206-cm Emanuel Terry averaged 10.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks in 19 games. In 14 Basketball Champions League matches, Terry contributed 11.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks while averaging 31.6 minutes per game.
Emanuel Terry competed for the NBA G League’s Canton Charge and Sioux Falls Skyforce last season plus short stints with the Suns and Heat.
Big expectations for Emanuel Terry
Hapoel Jerusalem coach Oded Ketch believes Emanuel Terry can make a big impact for the team the rest of the season.
“I am very happy that Emanuel is joining us. This is a player we are following in the (NBA) Summer League and we also came out to play twice this season and we were very impressed,” Ketch said. “I am sure he will fit in quickly and be an important addition to our face game and help us rebound and athletically – first of all, in the crucial stages of the Champions League playoffs, and of course in the Israeli league.”
