Elan Chalon re-signs Schilb

French League champion Elan Chalon reached a new agreement with shooting guard and team leader Blake Schilb to keep him on the team next season. Just as Chalon, Schilb (2.00 meters, 28 years old) is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut next season. He dominated French basketball in 2010-11, leading Chalon to win all available domestic titles – French League, French Cup and Semaine des As. He earned French League, French League final and Semaine des As MVP honors, too. Schilb averaged 16.6 points on 93% free throw shooting, 3.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 36 French League games. He also helped Chalon to reach the EuroChallenge final. Schilb is set to enter his fourth season with Chalon. He has also played for CEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic since he finished his career at Loyola University of Chicago (NCAA). He had previously lifted the French Cup title with Chalon in 2011 and helped Nymburk to win the Czech double – league and cup titles – in 2008 and 2009. “It is a matter of joy for our club to have Blake with us in this historic Euroleague season. It is also a great gift for all Chalon fans,” Chalon president Dominique Juillot said. “Our team is taking shape and will be as competitive as we want it to be, keeping a core of players and bringing in new talents.”
