Real Madrid (Spain-Liga Endesa) is strengthening its frontcourt with the addition of 25-year-old big man Edy Tavares (220 cm) this 2017. Tavares is a Cape Verdean player who also holds a Spanish passport. He’s played for the Cape Verde National Team from 2009 to 2015. After his release from the Cleveland Cavaliers in October, Tavares signed with G-League team, Raptors 905 Mississauga. He played just one game for the Raptors 905 but was impressive with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.
