Eddie Jordan to coach Rutgers

Eddie Jordan
Experienced NBA coach Eddie Jordan has agreed to become the head coach of NCAA BEC team Rutgers State University (USA). Sources close to the deal suggest that negotiations are drawing to a close and Jordan has agreed a deal in principle that will see Rutgers pay $6.25 million over five years. Jordan is a familiar face at Rutgers where the 58-year old cut his teeth as an assistant coach between 1988 and 1991.

Since those days Eddie Jordan has compiled an impressive CV that has seen him in the role of assistant coach and head coach within the NBA. Between 1999 and 2003 Jordan was assistant at the New Jersey Nets but made the step up to head coach with the Washington Wizards at the start of the 2003-2004 season. Jordan stayed with the Wizards for 6 years and helped the team into the play-offs four consecutive times before departing in 2008.
