Durrell Summers agrees with Wollongong
Durrell Summers (196 cm, Michigan State´11) is broadening his Basketball horizons and has agreed to play for the Wollongong Hawks of the Australian NBL. It will mark the guard´s first time in Australia after he has previously played in Europe, South America, and his native USA. Last season he was playing for Trotamundos de Carabobo (Venezuela, LPB) where he featured in ten games and picked up averages of 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Durrell Summers has spent much of his career in the American D-League representing the Maine Red Claws and the Idaho Stampede. The 24-year old had a brief spell in France playing for SO Maritime Boulogne (ProB) during the 2011/2012 campaign but picked up small averages over his three games with the club.
