Dru Joyce III (185 cm, Akron’07) will a new veteran presence in the backcourt of AS Monaco Basket (France-Pro A) this 2017-18. The University of Akron product played for two European clubs in 2016-17. He began the season playing for Tsmoki-Minsk (Belarus-Premier League). The guard played four games for them in the Basketball Champions League where he averaged 13.0 ppg and 6.8 apg. In 18 VTB United League games, he was able to average 14.2 ppg and 6.4 apg. Joyce also played in a dozen FIBA Europe Cup games for Tsmoki-Minsk, there he averaged 15.1 ppg and 8.3 apg. Dru logged 16 games for FC Bayern Muenchen (Germany-BBL) and averaged 3.7 ppg and 2.9 apg.
