Drew Viney signs with BdR Valladolid

Drew Viney (203 cm, Loyola Marymount’12) will get his first crack at Spanish hoops this 2013-14 as he joins Blancos de Rueda Valladolid (Liga Endesa). Viney had an interesting rookie season in 2012-13. He started it off in Poland’s TBL with Asseco Prokom Gdynia, but was released just after logging one game for the team. In that game he tallied 12 points and five rebounds.

Drew moved to French ProA team Entente Orleans 45 one month later. He managed to play a single game for them in the Eurocup and was able to score seven points while grabbing six rebounds. In 13 games in the French ProA he averaged 7.9 ppg and 4.0 rpg.
