Doron Perkins signs with Foshan

Doron Perkins (188 cm, Santa Clara ’05) has signed to take his skills to China and play for the Foshan Long Lions (China-CBA) for the remainder of the season. Perkins was most recently suiting up for BC Donetsk (Ukraine-Superleague), but was released in late Dec., 2012, after playing in 22 games for the club. He saw court time in three leagues with Donetsk: Two EuroCup games, where he contributed 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game; six VTB United League contests, averaging 4.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game; and 14 Ukrainian Superleague games, tallying 10.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. He also played in one Euroleague qualifier during the 2012-13 season, scoring 15 points and hauling in 10 rebounds. In 2011-12 he played for Bennet Cantu (Italy-SerieA), where he averaged 10.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in two Euroleague games; and 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals (2nd in the league) per game over 18 SerieA games. Perkins started his professional career in 2005 after finishing his collegiate career with Santa Clara. He’s played in Japan, Germany, Belgium, Israel, Italy and the Ukraine during his eight pro seasons.
