Doron Perkins released by Krasny Oktyabr

Doron Perkins’ (189 cm, Santa Clara’05) time with Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (Russia-VTB), with the player being released by the team. He signed with the club a month ago and it appears that the fit was just not there. Doron is an American player who also holds an Ivorian passport. He began the 2014/15 season playing for Laboral Kutxa Vitoria (Spain-Liga Endesa). He played nine games for them in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and was able to average 2.9 ppg and 2.3 rpg in just 10 minutes per game. He did not see much more utilization either in the domestic Spanish league. In 11 minutes per game Doron posted averages of 2.7 ppg and 2.2 rpg. He will likely see more playing time with his new team.
