Dontaye Draper parts with Real Madrid

Dontaye Draper (180 cm, Charleston’07) has parted ways with Real Madrid (Spain-Liga Endesa) this 2017 and is now a free agent. Dontaye is an American player who also holds a Croatian passport and has been a member of the Croatian national team since 2011. He played 29 games for Real Madrid in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and averaged 2.8 ppg and 1.4 apg. Draper also played 30 games in the domestic Spanish League, where he notched averages of 2.7 ppg and 1.3 apg.

His 2015-16 season saw him suiting up for Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-VTB). Dontaye played 30 games for them in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and averaged 6.5 ppg and 2.1 apg. He also appeared in 29 games in the VTB United League and there he produced averages of 7.4 ppg and 2.6 apg.
