DJ White to play for the Sharks in CBA

DJ White (2.06m, college: Indiana) has signed a deal to play for Yao Ming’s Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association. White played with the Charlotte Bobcats during the 2011-12 NBA season, but was not picked up for this year. He will be eligible to sign with another NBA team after the CBA season is over and has worked out with Boston, San Antonio and Miami over recent weeks.

During the 2011-12 season White averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds on just under 19 minutes of court time per game. He was the 29th overall selection in the 2009 NBA draft by Oklahoma City and played three seasons with them before getting picked up by Charlotte.
