Dirk Bauermann to coach Vilnius

Seasoned coach Dirk Bauermann has been named in the head coach position at Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (Lithuania, LKL, VTB League, and Euroleague). Bauermann is of course a hugely experienced head coach who has helmed several top clubs in his native Germany including GHP Bamberg and Bayern Munich in the German BBL. Throughout his career 55-year old Bauermann has won 3 German Bundesliga championships (05, 07, and 11) while he was also the head coach of the German National Team from 1996 to 2011.

Just a few weeks ago Dirk Bauermann was named the Polish National Team head coach and he will lead the team to the Eurobasket 2013 tournament in September.
