Devan Downey added by BC Timisoara

BC Timisoara of Romania’s Liga Nationala has added Devan Downey (175 cm, South Carolina’10) to bolster its roster. In the 2011-12 season Downey played for VOO Verviers-Pepinster from Belgium’s Ethias League. He played five games for them before departing in November 2011. During that stint Downey averaged 7.4 ppg and 1.8 apg. He then moved to play in the NBA D-League for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants where he played eight games and averaged 10.8 ppg and 3.9 apg. In March 2012 he signed with TED Kolejliler Ankara from Turkey’s TBL. There he managed to average 8.3 ppg and 2.1 apg in 10 games.

Downey has already played his first game for Timisoara and he logged a productive 29 minutes on the floor, scoring 29 points and handing out 10 assists.
