Desmond Penigar heads to Al Hilal Riyadh

Desmond Penigar (201 cm, Utah State’03) has been added by Al Hilal Riyadh from Saudi Arabia’s Premier League this 2013-14 season. In 2012-13 the 32-year-old Penigar played in Kuwait’s D1 League for Al Kuwait, which won the Kuwait Federation Cup in 2013.

In 2011-12 he played in Lebanon for Byblos (Div.A). In 21 games he led the team with massive averages of 28.3 ppg and 12.0 rpg.

Before those two seasons spent in Asia, Penigar played in Europe for Austria’s BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfelf Panthers. In 32 games in the Austrian League he lead the league with 19.3 ppg and averaged 7.3 rpg.
