Painter tabbed by Willebroeck

DeShawn Painter (206 cm, Old Dominion University’13) has become the latest signing for Kangoeroes Boom Willebroeck (Belgium, Ethias League).The center is a rookie and will be playing his first season in professional basketball after leaving Old Dominion University this year. The American played 30 games in the NCAA this season and recorded averages of 13.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Last season 23-year old DeShawn Painter played with North Carolina State in the NCAA where he played 37 games and averaged 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. The big man will now join Willebroeck for the upcoming 2013/2014 season as he gets his professional career underway.
