Derrick Zimmerman signs with Ludwigsburg

American guard Derrick Zimmerman (191 cm, Mississippi State’03) has left SK Dnipro Azot Dniprodzerzhynsk (Ukaraine, Superleague) and is heading to Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg (Germany, BBL). Zimmerman has played the last 4 seasons in the Ukraine Superleague and at the beginning of this season signed with Dnipro Azot. The 32-year old will now look for a new challenge in Germany with Necken Ludwigsburg.

Dnipro has given Derrick Zimmerman plenty of game time this season as the guard has played in 30 games and averaged 9.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 5.8apg. His move to Ludwigsburg was confirmed on the official Dnipro website as they announced the player’s departure. It will be Zimmerman’s second stint in Germany after he represented Brose Bamburg in the BBL during the 2006-2007 season.
