Derrick Caracter (206 cm, UTEP’10) will continue his professional basketbal career this 2017-18 on the roster of Uhud Medina (Saudi Arabia-SBL).  This will be his first team this season. Caracter had a busy 2016-17 season, seeing action for three teams. The big man appeared in two games for BC Prievidza (Slovakia-SBL) in the Basketball Champions League and averaged 9.0 ppg and 3.0 rpg. He left them in October 2016 and later made his way to Ramat Hasharon (Israel-National League). Derrick played a dozen games for his new team and notched averages of 13.5 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He proved to be a useful asset for them on the defensive of the floor with 1.3 spg and 1.3 bpg. In December Caracter moved to Atletico Echague Parana (Argentina-Liga A), where he played 29 games and dropped averages of 12.2 ppg and 7.7 rpg.
