Derrick Byars (201 cm, Vanderbilt’07) will continue his professional career in Spain this 2014-15 season after signing with Baloncesto Sevilla (Spain-Liga Endesa). Bryars hopped around several teams last season, starting the pre-season with the Memphis Grizzlies. He then signed with Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (Russia-VTB), but left almost immediately. The forward finally settled down in the D-League with the Bakersfield Jam, where he averaged 12.4 ppg and 4.8 rpg. In April 2014 Bryars headed back to Europe and penned with Belgian club Belfius Mons-Hainaut. He played 10 games for them and put together averages of 10.0 ppg and 3.2 rpg.
