Deon Thompson moves to Bayern Muenchen
Deon Thompson (203 cm, North Carolina’10) is changing teams within the German BBL. He will be playing for FC Bayern Muenchen for the 2013-14 season, after playing for Alba Berlin in 2012-13.
Thompson played 23 games for Alba Berlin in the Euroleague and averaged 12.0 ppg and 5.4 rpg. In the German league he played 37 games and hit averages of 13.4 ppg and 5.7 rpg. He helped his club win the German Bundesliga Cup in 2013.
In 2011-12 Deon played for Union Olimpija Ljubljana from Slovenia’s Telemach league. He represented them in 24 games in the Adriatic league and there he averaged 12.2 ppg and 5.3 rpg. In the Slovenian league he averaged 11.9 ppg and 5.3 rpg. His team won the Slovenian Cup in 2012, with Thompson winning MVP honors in the tournament.
