Demetris Nichols newcomer to CSKA Moscow

Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow has landed Demetris Nichols (198 cm, Syracuse’07) this 2014-15. The 2014 Euroleague semifinalists are penciling him in as their starting power forward this coming season. In 2013-14 Nichols played for Krasnie Krilya Samara (Russia-VTB), so he is quite familiar with Russian hoops. He played 22 games for them in the VTB United league and averaged 14.0 ppg and 3.7 rpg  and helped them reach as far as the league quarterfinals in 2014. Nichols also logged 14 games for them in the EuroChallenge and there he posted averages of 12.1 ppg and 5.1 rpg.
