Delonte Holland joins Antranik

Delonte HollandDelonte Holland (201 cm, De Paul’04) has joined Antranik Beirut (Lebanon-Division A) for the rest of the season as a replacemet for the team’s leading scorer, Novar Gadson, who was recently injured. Holland has had a number of different uniforms in the last couple of years. At the start of the 2011-12 season he signed with Club 9 de Julio Rio Tercero (Argentina-LigaA), then moved to Guerreros de Bogota (Colombia-Copa Federacion). In Dec. 2011 he joined Atenas Cordoba (Argentina-LigaA) and averaged 12.9 points per game over eight games. In Jan. of 2012 he joined Toro de Aragua (Venezuela-LPB) and had enough time to unpack his bags as he suited up for 36 games and finished second in the league in scoring with a 22.1 points per game average. He next moved to Leones de Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic-LNB), then back to Colombia with the Caribbean Heat Islanders de San Andres. Holland moved around as much in college as he does in the professional ranks, having seen action for three different schools, two community colleges and then he ended up playing for De Paul this last two seasons, finishing fifth in scoring in Conference USA his senior year with 16.5 points per game over 32 games. He also played in the Italian SerieA for three seasons and in the NBA D-League.
