Dejan Ivanov pens with Estudiantes Madrid

Dejan Ivanov (205 cm) is will play in Spain’s Liga Endesa for Estudiantes Madrid this 2013-14. The 27-year-old Bulgarian player initially signed a deal to play for Granarolo Bologna (Italy-SerieA), but will be headed to Spain this upcoming season instead.

He began the 2012-13 season playing in Lithuania’s LKL for Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius. In 16 games in the VTB United League Ivanov averaged 8.4 ppg and 6.1 rpg. In nine games in the Lithuanian league he posted averages of 6.6 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

In April 2013 Dejan moved to the Italian SerieA to play for Cimberio Varese. He was able to play eight games for them and hit averages of 4.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg.
