David Gonzalvez switches to Kouvot

David Gonzalvez (193 cm, Richmond’10) will be donning the colors of Kouvot Kouvola of Finland’s Korisliiga this coming 2015/16 season. He has had previous experience playing in the league. In 2014/15 David signed with Namika Lahti (Finland-Korisliiga). In 45 games Gonzalvez delivered averages of 12.5 ppg and 3.7 rpg. The 27-year-old player suited up for SPM Shoeters Den Bosch (Netherlands-Eredivisie) in 2013-14. He played in six games for them in the EuroChallenge and was able to put up averages of 13.3 ppg and 3.5 rpg. In the domestic Dutch league he logged 42 games and produced averages of 10.5 ppg and 3.1 rpg. David also shot a decent 36.4% from three-point range. It was a successful run with the Dutch club overall. Den Bosch made the semifinals in the Dutch Cup, the finals in the Dutch Eredivisie league, and won the Dutch Supercup in 2014.
