Darrel Mitchell stays with Halychyna

Darrel Mitchell (181 cm, Louisiana State University´06) has extended his stay with Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (Ukraine, Superleague). The point guard has signed a contract that will keep him with the team for another season after he enjoyed a successful 2012/2013 campaign. The American was one of the leaders of the Lviv team last term as he took to the court 46 times and averaged 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.

During the 2011/2012 season Darrel Mitchell started his second time in the Ukraine playing for Superleague team Khimik –OPZ Yuzny (his second spell with the club). During the season he played six Eurochallenge games and averaged 10.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. In the league that season he picked up 16.9 points and 5.9 assists per game from forty appearances.
