Daniel Orton (208 cm, Kentuck’10) bids his good-bye to the NBA and will continue his professional career in China with Shanxi Zhongyu (CBA) this 2014/15. Orton had a preseason deal with the Washington Wizards, but unfortunately did not make the cut for this season and decided to sign in China. Daniel began the 2013/14 season with Oklahoma City Thunder and was released by the team in October 2013. He then signed with the Philadelphia 76ers and there he averaged 3.1 ppg and 2.9 rpg in 21 games. Orton headed to the NBA’s D-League in January 2014 after being cut by the Sixers. He landed with the Maine Red Claws. He played 24 games for the Red Claws and averaged 11.3 ppg and 7.2 rpg.
