Dane Johnson heads to Halifax

Dane JohnsonDane Johnson (208 cm, Hofstra’09) has made a move to Canada´s NBL to play for Halifax Rainmen the team has confirmed. The Jamaican born player who is an American citizen spent pre-season with Polish outfit AZS Koszalin (TBL). The center has a busy 2012/2013 season playing for three teams in three countries.

27-year-old Johnson began the 2012-13 season for Neptunas Klaipeda (Lithuania-LKL) before signing for Anibale Zahle (Lebanon-Division A). Dane Johnson helped Zahle reach the Lebanese supercup in 2013 and played nine games with solid double-double averages of 10.8 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

Johnson completed the season playing for Mavort Quito from Ecuador’s National League. In three games he averaged 7.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
