Damian Saunders (203 cm, Duquesne’11) has signed with Aomori Watts (Japan-BJ League). The American Forward spent the last season with the Delaware 87ers (D-League) where he averaged 11.0 ppg and 7.3 rpg in 43 games. Before that the 26-year old American played for Sioux Falls Skyforce (D-League) and recorded 10.1 ppg in 2012-13 season. Damian Saunders also played at Rio Grande Valley Vipers in D-League that season. In 11 games he posted 5.8ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.1apg, 1.1spg and 1.5bpg. Saunders graduated from University of Duquesne in 2011 and played in the final of Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2009. Saunders was also voted All-Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year back in 2010 and 2011.
