Dairis Bertans (194 cm) has agreed to terms on a deal that sends him to Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (Turkey-BSL) for the 2016-17 season. Dairis is a 27-year-old Latvian player who has been a member of the Latvian national team since 2010. He represented his country in the recently concluded FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Serbia. In three games he averaged 16.3 ppg and 4.3 apg. His 2015-16 season was spent on the roster of Dominion Bilbao Basket (Spain-Liga Endesa). Dairis played 16 games for them in the Eurocup and averaged 15.5 ppg and 1.9 apg. He also logged a total of 34 games in the Spanish league and there he recorded averages of 11.1 ppg and 1.9 apg.
