Former NBA guard Daequan Cook (196 cm, Ohio State’07) has been waived by Ukrainian Superleague team Budivelnyk Kyiv. Cook played four games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 9.0 ppg and 1.8 rpg. He also played four games in the Ukrainian league where he posted averages of 4.8 ppg and 2.5 rpg.
Daequan started off the 2012-13 season under contract with the Houston Rockets. He played 16 games for them and averaged just 3.4 ppg and 1.1 rpg. He was released by the team in January 2013 and later picked up by the then shorthanded Chicago Bulls. He averaged 2.5 ppg and 1.4 rpg in 34 games off Chicago’s bench.
