Curtis Jerrells leaving Besiktas Istanbul

Curtis Jerrells (185 cm, Baylor’09) is leaving Besiktas Istanbul from Turkey’s TBL. Jerrells played 17 games with Besiktas in the Euroleague and averaged 14.2 ppg and 2.9 apg. He also played 17 games in the TBL and logged averages of 12.1 ppg and 3.0 apg.

Jerrells is more of a scoring-oriented player and the team is looking for more of a better ball distributor who can get teammates more involved in the play. Jerrells will hit the free agent market. His 2011-12 season ended abruptly as he was playing for UCAM Murcia from Spain’s ACB when he broke his toe after playing only two games for the team. In those two games, Jerrells averaged 7.5 ppg and 1.5 rpg.
