Halcones de Cucuta (Colombia, DPB) has brought in American guard Courtney Nelson (186 cm, William Pater’09) to strengthen the roster. Going the other way is American forward Omar Sanders (200 cm, South Carolina State’12) after just seven games.

Nelson is known as a strong scorer and last season he set a three point record while playing for Titanes Del Distrito Nacional in the Dominican Republic. In an LNB game Taylor managed to net an incredible elven three points, while during the season he helped the team reach the semi-finals of the LNB play offs.

Courtney Nelson is no stranger to Basketball in South America and has played with Deportivo Valdivia in Chile. During his stint with Valdivia during the 2011-2012 season he played 21 games and averaged 21.0ppg and 5.0apg. Halcones is sitting at the bottom of the DPB standings and will hope that the scoring prowess of Taylor can give the season a much needed boost.
