Courtney Fortson leaves Banvit

Courtney Fortson (180 cm, Arkansas’10) is no longer with Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (Turkey-BSL) this 2016 and is now a free agent. It was an amicable parting of ways between the player and the club. Courtney played 18 games for them during their run in the Eurocup and averaged 13.8 ppg and 5.8 apg. He also was able to play 20 games in the domestic Turkish league and there he produced averages of 16.3 ppg and 6.5 apg as the team’s starting point guard. He helped his team reach the Turkish Cup semis. Fortson was selected to play in the Turkish league All-star game this 2016.

Courtney’s 2014-15 season was spent playing for Avtodor Saratov (Russia-VTB). He played 31 games and posted averages of 19.1 ppg and 8.2 apg. In 13 EuroChallenge games Fortson managed averages of 17.2 ppg and 9.8 apg.
