Corey Hawkins (190 cm, UC-Davis’15) will continue his professional career in 2017-18 with a stint playing for Latvian powerhouse VEF Riga (Latvia-LBL). This will be his first team this season. Hawkins played for two teams in 2016-17, starting off the season with The Flexx Pistoia (Italy-Serie A). He played six games for them and posted averages of 12.0 ppg and 3.5 apg. In November 2016 he moved to the Port of Antwerp Giants (Belgium-Euromillions League), where he ended up finishing the season. In FIBA Europe Cup games, he notched averages of 8.8 ppg and 2.2 apg. Hawkins also played a dozen games in the Belgian League where he recorded averages of 10.2 ppg and 2.1 apg.
