Cheikh Sane departs from Naestved

Cheikh Sane (207 cm, Marshall ’15) is leaving Team FOG Naestved (Denmark-Ligaen). The Senegalese big man played in 18 games with Naestved with averages of 11.9 ppg, 9.7 rpg and 1.2 bpg in 26.8 mpg. This marked the second season playing for Naestved for Sane as this is the only team he’s played for professionally. Sane and the team made it to the league championship this season and came away with the cup championship. In his first year, the team lost in the Ligaen semifinals. In that season, he averaged 7.5 ppg and 7.9 rpg in a smaller role. Before playing overseas, he played two seasons at Marshall. He came off the bench for the Bison both seasons and averaged 4.8 ppg in 17.9 mpg as a senior.
