Cedrick Banks joins Chalon

Cedrick BanksCedrick Banks (190 cm, University of Illinois-Chicago’05) has agreed to a short-term agreement with Elan Chalon (France-ProA) to replace Brion Rush, who was also on a short-term deal to replace the injured Marcus Denman. Banks’ deal is good through Jan. 5, according to a statement released by the team, and it’s expected that, if all goes well with medical testing when he arrives, he’ll suit up in number 21 on Friday when the club hits the hardwood in a Euroleague contest against Montepashi Siena. Banks has been playing in ProA for the last four years, most recently with Entente Orleans 45 in 2011-12. With Orleans he saw 35 ProA contests and contributed an average of 14.4ppg. He took his talents to Turkey at the beginning of this season to play for Turk Telekom, but left after four games.
