Cashmere Wright goes pro with Groningen

Cincinnati alum Cashmere Wright (183 cm, Cincinnati’13) is set to become the new point guard of GasTerra Flames Groningen from the Netherlands this 2013-14. Wright is up to the challenge as he prepares to go pro overseas.

In his senior year at college, the 23-year-old Wright averaged 12.7 ppg and 3.2 apg in 33 games.

In the 2011-12 season the Savannah, Georgia native averaged 10.9 ppg and 4.6 apg in 37 games for Cincy. He helped his team reach the finals in the Big East Tournament in 2012 and because of his impressive work, Cashmere was named to the Big East All-Tournament team that year.
